FAQ

Does Rest Assured Require Long Term Contracts?

No. Rest Assured Home Watch is a monthly service which does not require long term contracts. Invoicing is performed monthly, however clients may pre-pay for additional months, if they so choose. If for any reason, a client terminates prepaid services with 30 days notice, the unused prepaid amount will be refundable for non-performed services.

Is It True I Can Save On My Insurance By Having A Home Watch Service?

Depending on your policy, many providers will refuse to cover damages which occur to a home that is vacant (the house is empty of personal items and furniture) or unoccupied (the house has personal items and furniture) for 30 days as these homes are considered at risk. Check with your carrier for your policy specifics.

However, many carriers will not require the purchase of an additional policy to cover your home when watch services are utilized and others may reduce the cost of the additional policy, if required.

Is Having My Neighbor Watch My Home Enough?

Many people hire home watch services in addition to having a neighbor keep a key. Home watch professionals are trained to look for potential problems as opposed to having a neighbor come in to a situation which could have been prevented.

Will There Be Pictures In My Reports?

Yes. Our reports include pictures of the property in addition to a written explanation, even if we find no problems to report.

How Many Different People Will Be Inspecting My Home?

Rest Assured Home Watch will assign one team member to perform inspections to each property. This ensures there are no questions about items which might look out of place as compared to a previous inspection, but are really normal, or issues which have been previously discussed with the owner, are not brought up as new issues. The only exception being, each property will have a designated back up team member who is well versed about the property in the event of the primary team member being out of the office.
